Make games, not waste

By adapting DevOps to what makes game development distinct from larger software development. Introducing GameDevOps.

About me

I've been working as a backend and web tools developer in and around the Helsinki games industry for closing in on a decade and recently tried my hands at being a tech-lead. A few examples of what I've worked on are: high-throughput data processing web-tools for anti-cheat developers at Easy AntiCheat, now called Epic Games Helsinki. At EA Track20 I worked on multiplayer backends and internal web tools for both technical and non-technical people. And most recently setting up cloud-based infrastructures from scratch and coming up with and implementing best practices and policies at Funday Factory.

From a more personal angle, I'm open about my experiences with burnout, body dysmorphia, late-in-life ADHD diagnosis, and being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. By using the learnings from these experiences to be a better team member, mentor and workshop host. I thoroughly enjoy increasing people'ss understanding of these topics.
